Iltani Resources Ltd (ASX:ILT) has delivered further high-grade silver-lead-zinc-indium results from the Link Zone at its Orient Silver-Indium Project in northern Queensland, strengthening the potential for the area to contribute to a planned mineral resource upgrade later this year.
The standout result came from drill hole ORR190, which intersected 13 metres at 334 g/t silver equivalent (Ag Eq) from 141 metres, including 8 metres at 492 g/t Ag Eq and 2 metres at 1,237 g/t Ag Eq from 144 metres.
The higher-grade interval contained 531 g/t silver, 112 g/t indium, 10.3% lead and 5.7% zinc.
Other results included:
- 18 metres at 123 g/t Ag Eq from 70 metres in ORR192, including 6 metres at 248 g/t Ag Eq and 1 metre at 548 g/t Ag Eq; and
- 3 metres at 220 g/t Ag Eq from 155 metres in ORR196, including 1 metre at 402 g/t Ag Eq.
Link Zone expands outside existing resource
Importantly for Iltani, all of the Link Zone intercepts sit outside the existing Orient mineral resource.
Drilling has now defined high-grade silver-lead-zinc-indium mineralisation across about 240 metres of strike and to 145 metres depth from surface, with more than 400 metres of additional strike still to be tested.
The latest drilling builds on strong results returned from the Link Zone in late 2025, including 22 metres at 155 g/t Ag Eq in ORR136 and 10 metres at 314 g/t Ag Eq in ORR138, the latter containing 1 metre at 1,372 g/t Ag Eq.
Iltani managing director Donald Garner said the latest intercepts increased confidence in the growth potential of the Link Zone.
“All the Link Zone drilling sits outside the current Orient Mineral Resource, and we have now defined Link Zone mineralisation over 240m strike to 145m depth, with an additional 400m+ of strike extent remaining to be tested.”
Garner said the company believed the results had the potential to translate into a “material increase” in the Orient mineral resource.
Resource update and scoping study ahead
Iltani’s initial 110-hole drilling campaign is expected to be completed during September, with assays continuing to be received.
The resulting data will feed into an updated Orient mineral resource estimate targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026.
That resource will in turn underpin the Orient Silver-Indium Project scoping study, which the company plans to complete in early 2027. Follow-up drilling at the Link Zone is also being planned before the onset of the 2026 wet season.
About the Orient project
Orient is Iltani’s flagship asset within the broader Herberton Project in northern Queensland.
The project currently hosts a mineral resource of 62.5 million tonnes at 81.5 g/t Ag Eq, containing an estimated 163.8 million ounces of silver equivalent, including 45.9 million ounces of silver, 725 tonnes of indium, 341,000 tonnes of lead and 421,000 tonnes of zinc.
Iltani Resources is focused on the exploration and development of base, precious and critical mineral projects in Australia.
