Percheron Therapeutics Ltd (ASX:PER, OTC:PERCF) has entered a clinical research agreement with Vanderbilt Health in the US for a new multi-centre trial of its lead cancer therapy HMBD-002 in acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).

The investigator-sponsored study will assess HMBD-002 in combination with standard-of-care treatments in patients with high-risk AML/MDS.

Shares in Alien Metals Ltd (AIM:UFO, OTC:ASLRF), the AIM-listed minerals exploration and development company, rose 4% to 0.10p on Thursday.

The move followed diamond drilling results from the Elizabeth Hill Silver Project in Western Australia, announced by joint venture partner West Coast Silver, which is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.

Greatland Resources Ltd (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF, FRA:G8G, ASX:GGP) described the past financial year as transformative, its first 12 months owning the Telfer gold and copper mine, as it prepares for an ambitious programme of investment and expansion.

The dual-listed miner, which bought Telfer in Western Australia's Paterson province from Newmont in December 2024, took a final investment decision in June on Havieron, the neighbouring gold-copper deposit it intends to feed through the existing Telfer mill.

Rokeby Resources (ASX:RKB) has defined a maiden inferred JORC-compliant Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) of 66,565 tonnes at 5.29 g/t gold for 11,337 ounces at the Powers Gully tailings deposit within its recently acquired Omeo Gold Project in northeast Victoria.

The resource forms part of a broader program targeting historical tailings and mullock deposits across the Cassilis and Mt Wills goldfields, alongside ongoing hard-rock exploration aimed at expanding Omeo's longer-term underground resource base.

Power Minerals Ltd (ASX:PNN) has extended broad, high-grade rare earth mineralisation at the Morro do Ferro Rare Earth Project in Brazil, with the third hole of its maiden drilling campaign returning 108.55 metres at 4.15% total rare earth oxides (TREO) from surface to 119.3 metres.

Hole MFSR-053 also produced a project-record magnet rare earth oxide (MREO) result of 4.40% over 1.45 metres from 69.55 metres, while assays from greater depths indicate mineralisation may continue beyond the zones previously tested.

Bitcoin has steadied around US$78,000 after this week's pullback. At the same time, a fresh US regulatory development has put institutional crypto adoption back in focus as the Securities and Exchange Commission moves ahead with an overhaul of digital asset custody rules.

At the latest check, Bitcoin was trading at about US$78,350, up around 0.2% over 24 hours, after retreating from above US$81,000 earlier in the week.

St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ, OTC:SGQMF) has entered a collaboration with the State of Minas Gerais and Brazilian industrial group Lima & Pergher to assess the development of a rare earths processing centre that could form a key part of Brazil’s domestic mine-to-magnet supply chain.

The proposed Minas Gerais Rare Earths Processing Centre would process material from emerging projects across the state, including St George’s Araxá Rare Earths-Niobium Project, and could produce refined materials suitable for downstream magnet manufacturing.

Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA, XETRA:NVD) has comfortably beaten Wall Street expectations with record second-quarter revenue of US$96.2 billion, as accelerating demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure powered another surge in sales and profit.

Revenue for the quarter ended July 26 rose 106% year-on-year and 18% from the previous quarter, beating Visible Alpha consensus expectations of about US$92.2 billion and Nvidia's own guidance of around US$91 billion.

Greatland Resources Ltd (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF, ASX:GGP) has delivered a net profit after tax of A$862 million in its first full financial year owning the Telfer gold-copper operation, supported by strong production, higher metal prices and substantial cash generation.

Revenue for the year to June 30, 2026, reached A$2.26 billion, up 136%, while EBITDA increased 186% to A$1.33 billion. Free cash flow jumped 413% to A$737 million, helping lift closing cash to $1.29 billion.
