Nu-Oil has 100% ownership of Enegi Oil Inc., a Private Limited Company registered in Canada, which owns exploration and production licences in the Port au Port Peninsula, located in Western Newfoundland.
Nu-Oil has a 50% shareholding in Marginal Field Development Company Ltd. (MFDevCo), with RMRI Ltd. holding the other 50%. MFDevCo will develop Nu-Oil's stranded or marginal field projects with the Marginal Field Delivery Consortium, a group of world class oil and gas specialists MFDevCo established in 2015, who will manage the delivery, operation and decommissioning of Nu-Oil's projects, on behalf of MFDevCo. Nu-Oil uses local subsidiaries and special purpose vehicles as required to develop and operate projects.
Where We Operate
Through subsidiary Enegi Oil Inc., Nu-Oil has working interests in two assets located in the Port au Port Peninsula, Western Newfoundland - onshore petroleum lease, PL2002-01(A) and one offshore exploration licence EL1070.
Through MFDevCo, Nu-Oil is pursuing a number of marginal field opportunities which will deliver significant value. These opportunities are located in varied jurisdictions around the world.
UK & Canada.
Graham Scotton B. Sc, C.Eng. F.I.M.M.M is a veteran of the upstream oil industry with over 40 years of experience in drilling and production, reservoir and development engineering, and operations. He held senior line and functional positions with BP and BG Group, and was COO, and acting CEO for a time, of Dana Petroleum which is owned by the South Korean government. He has worked for a small U.S independent E&P company, and has consulted for numerous smaller enterprises.
He has international experience including Norway, the U.S.A, Venezuela, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Egypt and West Africa, being involved in the development and operation of oil and gas fields in these countries.
Joint Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer
Damian is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years' experience in the oil and gas sector. His initial experience was as an auditor in a large accountancy firm before moving to London to work at JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank. Damian was the Commercial Manager of Enegi Oil after the IPO before taking over as Chief Financial Officer in 2009. He holds a BSc in Computer Science and Management Studies.
Joint Managing Director
Alison has 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector, primarily in risk assessment and risk management, managing projects for major operators worldwide. Alison, who is Managing Director of MFDevCo, has particular expertise in engineering analysis and management and regulatory engagement.
Alison has been integral to creating the marginal field initiative including the development of engineering solutions, risk and project management, configuring its commercial structures and leading business development. She has a BSc in Mathematics and a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Electronics, and is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of IMarEST.
Frank has over 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector where he has raised significant funds, taken companies to market and negotiated hydrocarbon asset transactions. Most recently, Frank was the Executive Commercial Director of Aurelian Oil and Gas which during his association with the company raised over C$100m. Frank has an MBA from the University of Cape Town and is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators. Chairman of the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee, and member of the Nomination Committee.
Tej is a Chartered Secretary and has over 19 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. He has extensive experience in commercial, financial, legal, and governance matters. Prior to joining, Tej worked as a Commercial Manager within the oil and gas sector. He holds a BSc in Economics, a Graduate Diploma in Law and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries. On 3 July 2017 Tej moved from his role as Executive Director to a Non-Executive role on the Board.
Professor Mike Bowman
Mike Bowman retired from BP in 2011, taking a part-time Professorial Chair in Development & Production Geology at the University of Manchester until 2015. He has recently returned to the UK following two years in Qatar, where he was Chair of the Petroleum Engineering Programme at Texas A&M University. He continues to hold an Honorary Visiting Professorship at the University of Manchester. In 2012 he was the President of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain, an eminent group with a membership of over 5,500. At his retirement he was BP’s Functional and Global Head of Geoscience and also Major Capital Projects Appraisal. He is an expert on integrated reservoir description and prediction and how this is used to better develop and manage subsurface oil and gas reservoirs.
David has over 15 years' experience in the oil and gas sector, where he initially worked in risk assessment and risk management of large scale offshore oil and gas projects for oil majors such as Exxon Mobil, Petro-Canada, Husky Energy, EnCana, BHP Billiton and Zakum Development Company before working as a commercial and legal services manager. David holds an MEng in Chemical Engineering, a Graduate Diploma in Law and Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property.
Investor Relations and Communications
Simon Bygrave has extensive experience in the financial and oil and gas sectors. He started his career working for JPMorgan in London, where his main responsibility was in delivering training courses to improve the performance of individuals and teams, including new recruits, high-performing graduates and senior management.
Simon established Coactive Training Ltd. in 2005, a venture to provide financial products training across all asset classes which he expanded to include personal and team skills development; his main clients were JPMorgan, HSBC, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital and Royal Bank of Scotland.
In 2013, Simon took up a post in an engineering consulting practice operating within the oil and gas sector and based in Aberdeen. His responsibilities related to training and general marketing of the company’s services which enabled him to add a wide network of relationships across the oil and gas sector to those in the financial sector.
Simon, who has a degree in Business, Finance and Economics, joined Nu-Oil in 2017 as Director of Communications to manage investor relations.
