Ora has re-iterated its FY22 gold production forecast in the range of 70,000 to 75,000 ounces – although to the lower end of the range.
“We are greatly encouraged by the strong gold results coming from the Victoria Workings, just 6 kilometres southwest of the active Riverina open cut mine. We will be looking forward to continued drilling success in this area," says MD.
The notable aspect of the improvement was the trial of the crushing circuit with 100% primary rock as feed for several days.
After a competitive process, Ora Banda earlier this month signed a non-binding agreement with TNT Mines to sell Mt Ida Gold for cash consideration of $11 million.
TNT is currently completing due diligence, which should be finalised along with approvals, by close of business on Friday, September 17.
The agreement is subject to several conditions including the purchaser receiving commitments for a capital raising of not less than A$12 million to fund the acquisition.
"It is most pleasing to see the step-change in our plant’s performance and throughput. It is testament to our team and their hard work that all the action plans are being executed with successful outcomes,” says MD.
David Quinlivan’s indirect interest in Ora Banda has increased by more than 588,000 shares, raising $100,000 for the gold explorer.
These new strong results have the potential to deliver improved grades and confidence for the existing underground resource.
Further aircore and reverse circulation drilling is being planned at regional targets to follow up the strong aircore results.
Davyhurst comprises a 1.2 million tonnes per annum gold processing plant, fully permitted mining licences, fully-equipped accommodation facilities at Davyhurst and Riverina and a full complement of supporting infrastructure.
Earlier this month the company unveiled strong initial gold results from infill drilling at Iguana gold deposit in Western Australia.
Earlier this month the company unveiled strong initial gold results from infill drilling at Iguana gold deposit in Western Australia.
The appointment follows the retirement of David Quinlivan from the role but the company will continue to benefit from his knowledge and expertise as a non-executive director.
The first results from Ora Banda’s exploration campaign at the Iguana prospect are in, confirming the deposit’s resource potential.
The WA-focused gold and base metal company is set to raise further capital after it finalised a $21 million placement.
A share purchase plan will now be offered to eligible shareholders aiming to raise a further $4 million.

The March quarter of 2021 marked a major milestone as Ora Banda transitioned from a developer to a gold producer with two operating mines and a third in development.
The Riverina Project’s high proportion of oxide tonnes and current mineral resource of 322,000 ounces and open-pit reserve of 81,000 ounces make it an attractive early ore source for the company’s Davyhurst Project.
The facility is a significant step, given the company’s recent transition from developer to producer, with significant exploration upside.
The objective of this resource infill drilling program is to close the current drill spacing from a nominal 40 x 25 metres pattern to a 20 x 25 metres pattern to allow the inferred resource to be upgraded.
The company is well placed to progress process circuit optimisation and production ramp-up with in excess of 200,000 tonnes of run-of-mine stocks available for processing.
The company has continued the strong progress made in the December quarter with wet commissioning of the plant underway and ore being delivered to the ROM pad.
Riverina South prospect covers a prospective corridor of around 1-kilometre immediately along strike to the south of the Riverina deposit and is host to numerous historic gold workings.
Multiple production sources are expected to underpin a potential long-life operation at Davyhurst, with six deposits to be mined by a combination of conventional open pit and underground mining techniques.

The company’s definitive feasibility study released in June highlighted the potential of multiple production sources to underpin a long-life operation at the Davyhurst Gold Project in Western Australia.
The offer was fully subscribed by eligible retail shareholders with A$7.4 million in applications received versus A$3.3 million on offer.
The work will include refurbishment, optimisation and recommissioning of the existing 1.2 million tonnes per annum Davyhurst Gold Processing Plant, borefields and associated infrastructure.
The retail component of the entitlement offer seeks to raise around A$3.3 million through a 1 for 9 non-renounceable pro-rata entitlement offer of new fully paid ordinary shares.

The new underground resource at Callion results from recent drilling that targeted the Callion Main Lode below the A$2,400/ounce optimised open pit resource shell.
The total Mineral Resource now stands at 23.3 million tonnes at 2.7g/t for 2.05 million ounces.
There are maiden reserves at Riverina and Golden Eagle while Missouri and Sand King reserves have increased by 8% and 18% respectively.
The company’s regional drilling program focused on testing aspects of the Mulline and Golden Lode mineralised corridors which have been under explored in the past.

Further resource growth is expected at Callion with underground resource modelling work continuing.
The definitive feasibility study into the restart of mining and processing operations at Davyhurst remains on schedule.
The Riverina South exploration program targeted a 1 kilometre long, highly prospective strike extension corridor immediately south of the main Riverina mining area.
The company is now well positioned to bring the underground mine back into production as an integral part of its operational restart plan.
The district-scale Davyhurst Gold Project consists of 112 tenements, spanning across three shires and 1,336 square kilometres with almost continuous coverage (200 kilometres in strike length) of greenstone sequences.
Drilling at Callion has been focused on extending and upgrading the current open-pit resource and delineating a maiden underground resource.
