Altona Rare Earths Plc (AQSE:ANR) chief executive Christian Taylor-Wilkinson joins Proactive London ahead of the company's planned move from Aquis to the London Stock Exchange to talk about the encouraging drilling results and the “king of the rare earths” at the Monte Muambe project in Mozambique.
Normally mining companies only need a project to have 1% rare earths to take it forward to development, says Taylor-Wilkinson, but the “exceptional” Monte Muambe had some holes at over 7% rare earths.
He explains why neodymium and praseodymium are, what he calls the “kings of the rare earths” and how drilling at the project has gone so far and what’s next.
Taylor-Wilkinson also talks about what changes he has made since becoming CEO, how the company came to acquire Monte Muambe and what plans the company has to acquire other projects.
