Oklo Resources Ltd - Oklo Resources intersects further high-grade gold at Disse, within the Dandoko Project in west Mali

Oklo Resources Ltd (ASX:OKU)’s first assay results from the 2022 drilling season have revealed further high-grade gold at Disse within the company’s 100%-owned flagship Dandoko Gold Project in west Mali.

The company has intersected up to 69.1 g/t gold, further confirming Disse as an emerging high-grade target in fresh rock to complement the largely shallow oxide resource at Seko.

The results have indicated good potential for high-grade shoots plunging to the southeast at depth and this requires further drill testing.

Excellent start to 2022 field season

Oklo managing director Simon Taylor said: “These results are an excellent start to the 2022 field season, further confirming Disse as an emerging high-grade target in fresh rock to complement the largely shallow oxide resource at Seko.

“The current 9,000 metres resource expansion drilling program is well underway with the drill rig presently at Seko completing a deep diamond hole under SK2 while awaiting further results from Disse.

“In parallel, we are processing data from the recent 3D IP and passive seismic geophysical surveys to assist in targeting potential high-grade feeder zones in fresh rock at Seko and advancing the Technical and Environmental studies.”

Drill results

Assay results were received from the first seven infill reverse circulation (RC) drill holes at Disse, with assays pending from a further five RC and two diamond holes (DD) holes and drilling ongoing.

Highlight results in primary gold mineralisation include:

► 6 metres at 12.56 g/t gold from 124 metres including 1-metre at 69.10 g/t from 127 metres;

► 11 metres at 3.89 g/t from 81 metres including 4 metres at 9.88 g/t from 84 metres, which includes 1-metre at 30.30 g/t from 84 metres;

► 5 metres at 4.89 g/t from 70 metres including 2 metres at 11.33 g/t from 71 metres;

► 3 metres at 4.33 g/t from 61 metres including 1-metre at 11.50 g/t from 63 metres; and

► 3 metres at 3.12 g/t from 39 metres including 1-metre at 7.01 g/t from 40 metres.

Resource growth opportunities

Disse currently extends over a 550 metres strike length and was a small component of the company’s maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) announced in March 2021.

Wide spaced 100-150 metres sections informed the MRE with all mineralisation classified as Inferred.

Since announcing the MRE, the company has remained focused on evaluating resource growth opportunities in close proximity to Seko and other targets along the 15 kilometres Dandoko gold corridor and within the adjoining projects.

A modest inferred resource of 150,000 tonnes at 2.57 g/t gold for 12,100 contained gold ounces was previously reported for Disse.

Ongoing work programs

Thye company's ongoing work programs are:

► The initial 9,000 metres resource expansion drilling program is well underway with further assay results expected during November;

► The program will focus on shallow oxide and deeper primary gold mineralisation at Seko, Disse and Koko with the next phase of deep drilling to be assisted by the results pending from the 3D IP and passive seismic geophysical surveys completed over the wet season;

► The initial drilling program is scheduled for completion in early first quarter of 2022 with the next phase planned to follow up the recent discoveries at Sari and Kandiole; and

► Technical (scoping) and environmental studies are well advanced.

Dandoko Project

The Dandoko Project is within the Kenieba Inlier of west Mali, about 30 kilometres east of B2Gold Corp’s 7.1 million ounces Fekola Project and 50 kilometres south-southeast of Barrick Gold Corp’s 18 million ounces Loulo/Gounkoto complex.

IAMGOLD Corp (TSX:IMG)’s 2.0 million ounces Diakha/Siribaya gold resource projects are to the immediate southwest of Oklo’s around 505 square kilometres holding within this emerging world-class gold region.
