Rio Tinto PLC (LSE:RIO) has priced US$1.25bn of 30-year fixed-rate SEC-registered debt securities.
The notes will pay a coupon of 2.75% and will mature on 2 November 2051.
The bond issue follows yesterday’s announcement from the mining giant that it is offering to purchase up to US$1.2bn of its 3.75% notes due 2025 by way of tender.
