Rimfire Pacific Mining NL (ASX:RIM) has strengthened its board with technical expertise and capital market experience with the appointment of Misha Collins as a non-independent, non-executive director.
Collins has 23 years of experience in resources as a mining executive, financial analyst and company director.
This includes time with BHP, Bankers Trust, BT Funds Management, ING Australia and most recently as CEO of Cassidy Gold Corporation.
He has also acted as an adviser to several significant debt and equity transactions in the gold mining industry.
“Add to board’s depth”
Rimfire chairman Ian McCubbing said: “On behalf of the directors and shareholders, I would like to welcome Misha to the board.
“Misha’s technical expertise and capital markets experience will add to the board’s depth and we look forward to the insights and advice he will bring to the company.”
Other notable positions
Collins was a non-executive director of ASX-listed Ask Funding from 2010 to 2015.
Collins has also been acting as an unpaid technical adviser to Golden Plains Resources, which is the earn-in party of RIM’s Fifield Earn-in Project and Avondale Earn-in Project.
The new director Collins holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgy, graduating with First Class Honors from RMIT University.
He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Banking and Finance from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australia.
Collins has been awarded Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Company secretary appointment
Rimfire Pacific also advises that Stefan Ross will serve in the office holder position as company secretary.
Ross represents specialist company secretarial, governance and accounting firm, Leydin Freyer, which is responsible for RIM’s company secretarial role.
Melanie Leydin will step down as appointed company secretary but will continue to support the company via Leydin Freyer.
Ross has more than 10 years of experience in accounting and secretarial services for ASX Listed companies.
His extensive experience includes ASX compliance, corporate governance control and implementation, statutory financial reporting and board and secretarial support.
McCubbing added: “We also welcome Stefan as company secretary and thank Melanie for her service and ongoing support.”
