Great Boulder Resources thanks founder Murray Black for his service to company

During the September quarter, the company acquired a new project which led to a series of field programs at Side Well and Whiteheads gold projects.

Great Boulder Resources Ltd - Great Boulder Resources Ltd thanks Murray Black for his service to the board of directors
GBR has a primary focus on exploration, discovery and delineation of nickel-copper-cobalt and gold resources in the Eastern Goldfields.

Great Boulder Resources Ltd (ASX:GBR) has thanked Murray Black for his service to the board of directors after he was not re-elected at the company's annual general meeting this week.

Chairman Greg Hall recognised Black, who was the company’s founder, for his contribution to Great Boulder and wished him all the best for his future.

"Assisted in numerous ways"

He said: “Murray provided a suite of five exploration projects from his private company Eastern Goldfields Mining Company Pty Ltd to joint venture with Great Boulder Resources, enabling GBR to list on the Australian Stock Exchange.

“He assisted GBR in numerous ways, including the provision of drilling services through Blue Spec Drilling, and he was also instrumental in coordinating critical logistical support at Mt Venn, in an extremely remote region.

“This logistical support was funded by Murray personally, making exploration at Mt Venn possible, and is a testament to Murray’s character and his resolve for GBR to succeed in its exploration endeavours.”

Blue Poles drilling results

The company recently received results from the second phase of aircore drilling at Blue Poles discovery within the Whiteheads project north of Kalgoorlie, which have extended the strike length to more than 1-kilometre.

Blue Poles has now been closed off to the north but remains open to the south while the drilling has also revealed a new VMS-style lead-zinc discovery to the west.

This phase of drilling was designed to define the limits of mineralisation at Blue Poles prior to reverse circulation (RC) drilling, which is scheduled to be completed this month.

Great Boulder managing director Andrew Paterson said: “These new results add further weight to the Blue Poles discovery.

“We are very keen to get some deeper drilling into it with the RC rig shortly.”
