Helium One focused on opportunities in Tanzania and the US

Helium One Global is the primary helium explorer in Tanzania with a 50% working interest in the Galactica-Pegasus helium development project in Colorado, USA.

The company holds helium licenses within two distinct helium project areas, across two continents. With an expanding global footprint, the company has the potential to become a strategic player in resolving a supply-constrained helium market.

Helium One Global Ltd (AIM:HE1, FRA:9K3) told investors that the offtake agreement covering all helium produced at its Galactica-Pegasus joint venture in Colorado has been extended through the end of March next year, providing continuity of deliveries and revenue while longer-term sales arrangements are negotiated.

The agreement, which had been due to expire on 31 August, now runs until 31 March 2027 and continues to cover all helium produced at the Pinon Canyon processing plant. Pricing remains fixed for the extended term and reflects prevailing US helium market conditions, the company said.

The existing purchaser, described as a publicly listed US corporation, remains unchanged, although its identity and the agreed pricing remain commercially confidential. Operator Blue Star Helium is meanwhile continuing negotiations for wider, longer-term offtake arrangements.

Operationally, a fourth tube trailer of helium has been delivered and a fifth is being filled at Pinon Canyon, with trailer exchanges continuing on schedule.

Helium One Global Ltd (AIM:HE1, FRA:9K3) said a third helium tube trailer has been delivered from the Pinon Canyon Plant at its Galactica Project in Colorado, with a fourth already on site and being filled.

Operator Blue Star Helium said trailer exchanges are now proceeding on a scheduled basis, marking the establishment of regular helium shipments from the project.

Helium One Global Ltd (AIM:HE1, FRA:9K3) told investors that its Colorado joint venture has completed its first helium sale under a short-term offtake agreement, marking the second commercial trailer delivery from the Galactica-Pegasus project.

Operator Blue Star Helium has scheduled regular trailer exchanges, with replacement units beginning to fill as they arrive. The Pinon Canyon plant has stabilised at current production levels, allowing the venture to focus on recurring sales and cash flow generation.

A few more names have been added to London’s crop of small-cap helium explorers in recent weeks, establishing the UK’s junior bourse as the ‘home of helium plays’.

On Tuesday, it was the turn of Mendell Helium (AQSE:MDH) – the name given to a reboot of Aquis-quoted Voyager Life PLC (AQSE:VOY), which is acquiring Kansas-based M3 Helium Corp and its six-well project.

Panmure Liberum said Helium One Global Ltd latest flow testing at its ITW-1 well in Tanzania has pushed the Rukwa story firmly back into the spotlight, after an Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) lifted production rates to levels the broker argues could be “commercial” in a broader multi-well development.

In its note, the broker reiterated a 'Buy' rating and held its 3.22p target price, pointing to a test window running from 26 January to 14 February that delivered average flow of around 15 kbwpd and peaks above 16.4 kbwpd.

Helium concentrations averaged 5.4%, with peaks of 9.2%, which Panmure Liberum said came in ahead of the assumptions in the 2025 competent person’s report.

Helium One Global Ltd (AIM:HE1, OTCQB:HLOGF)CEO Lorna Blaisse discusses the company’s latest strategic move to diversify its portfolio and generate near-term cash flow with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion.

Blaisse elaborated on the proposed acquisition of Blue Star Helium's Galactica-Pegasus asset in Colorado, emphasising its potential to position Helium One as a major player with successful geological operations across two continents.

Blaisse explained the significance of this acquisition, particularly its role in providing early cash flow, which she believes will greatly benefit the company and its shareholders. Despite this new venture in the US, Blaisse reaffirmed that Helium One remains focused on its core operations in Tanzania, where the company continues to progress with its extended well test (EWT) at the Itumbula project.
