He will vacate the role of executive chairman with immediate effect but will be available to assist the graphite development company in assuring a smooth transition.
Executive director Allan Mulligan said: “We are disappointed to see Trevor leaving us when we are so close to securing funding for the Lindi Jumbo mine.
“Trevor’s contribution to funding the company and the project has been significant and the board thanks him for his efforts.
“We wish him well in his future endeavours.”
Developing graphite project
Walkabout is developing the high-grade Lindi Jumbo Graphite Project in Tanzania’s southeast with the aim of taking advantage of forecast market conditions for large and jumbo flake graphite products.
The company holds 100% of a Mining Licence and between 70% and 100% of adjacent graphite prospecting licences at the project with an enduring option to acquire the remaining 30% share.
A high-grade graphite mineral reserve has been delineated within the Mining Licence area.
Walkabout also holds an exploration portfolio for gold and base metals in Northern Ireland and Scotland where zinc, lead and other base metals occurrences are being explored.
