About the company

Talon Metals Corp is a TSX-listed base metals company developing the high-grade Tamarack Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Project located in central Minnesota. Talon has an earn-in to acquire up to 60% of the Tamarack Project, and currently owns 51% of the Tamarack Project. The Tamarack Project comprises a large land position (18km of strike length) with numerous high-grade intercepts outside the current resource area. Talon is focused on expanding its current high-grade nickel mineralization resource prepared in accordance with NI 43-101; identifying additional high-grade nickel mineralization; and developing responsible processing capabilities in the United States. Talon has a well-qualified exploration and mine management team with extensive experience in project development.

How it is doing

28 Mar 2024

Talon Metals Corp. (TSX:TLO, OTC:TLOFF) and its Tamarack project in Minnesota is ideally suited to capitalize on increasing demand in the US for locally sourced, high-grade nickel, according to analysts at Stifel.

The analysts have resumed coverage on the stock with a ‘Buy’ rating and a C$0.50 price target.

With Talon’s current share price of C$0.14, this implies a return of about 250%.

The analysts wrote in a note to clients that they see an opportunity in the mid to long-term outlook for nickel amid higher elective vehicle demand, tax incentives favoring domestic supply, and with nickel added to several critical minerals lists.

Talon Metals Corp. (TSX:TLO, OTC:TLOFF), the majority owner and operator of the Tamarack nickel-copper-cobalt project in central Minnesota, has released a new batch of assay results outside the Tamarack Resource Area of the project.

The assay results from the drill hole outside the existing resource area indicate significant high-grade nickel-copper mineralization, reinforcing the project's potential for expansion.

Talon Metals Corp. (TSX:TLO, OTC:TLOFF) announced that its chief external affairs officer and head of climate strategy Todd Malan was selected to lead the public testimony during the US Treasury’s public hearing on Section 45X Advanced Manufacturing Production Tax Credit for Critical Minerals held on Thursday.

Section 45X of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) is a production credit that aims to incentivize investments in the full manufacturing supply chain for clean energy systems.

What the brokers say

Drill results from Talon Metals Corp’s newly-discovered Raptor Zone at its Tamarack nickel-copper-cobalt project located in Minnesota have highlighted the district scale and high-grade resource growth potential of the project, according to analysts at Stifel GMP.

In a note to clients, analysts wrote that the results showcased high-grade albeit narrow intercepts reaffirming the strong regional potential and room for resource growth within the complex.

“With 1,500 m of prospective ground and intercepts on either end, Talon stated that this undrilled area of the 'Raptor Zone' has a sufficient footprint to fit more than 50 of the CGO West resource area, making it a top exploration target,” the analysts wrote.

What management says

17 Jan 2024

Talon Metals Vice President of Geology Etienne Dinel joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share shared important assay results from the "Raptor Zone" during an interview with Steve Darling from Proactive. The Raptor Zone is located north of the company's Resource Area and represents a promising area with substantial exploration potential within the Tamarack Nickel Project. Dinel revealed that the assay results include a significant intercept of 5.93 meters of high-grade massive nickel and copper mineralization, assaying at 2.92% nickel and 1.73% copper, equivalent to 4.90% nickel equivalent.

This intercept also includes a notable 2.2-meter section of high-grade massive nickel and copper mineralization with impressive grades of 6.84% nickel and 3.80% copper. Talon Metals' in-house drilling and geophysics teams are actively working to further understand the high-grade mineralization potential in the Raptor Zone. As exploration and drilling progress into 2024, the company is leveraging its in-house fleet of drill rigs to continue exploring this area. T

he results obtained so far in the Raptor Zone suggest the presence of a 250-meter strike length of continuous high-grade massive nickel and copper mineralization within the Raptor's Head. Currently, three drill rigs are operating in the Raptor Zone, with additional drilling planned throughout 2024, aiming to expand mineralization in this previously untested area. These assay results and ongoing exploration efforts demonstrate the significant potential of the Raptor Zone within the Tamarack Nickel Project. Talon Metals is committed to advancing its understanding of this area and capitalizing on the exploration upside it represents.
