Northern Minerals Ltd (ASX:NTU) has announced that Vastness Investment Group Limited has acquired an additional 100 million shares in the company at a price of 2 cents per share

The group previously held 200 million shares for a 5.02% stake, with the substantial holding increase taking the interest to 7.1%

Restart of operations

Northern Minerals has commenced planning and logistics to support the restart of operations at its Browns Range Heavy Rare Earths Pilot Plant Project in WA.

The company will initially focus on test work in the beneficiation circuit followed by tests in the hydrometallurgical circuit and mechanical construction and installation of ore-sorting equipment at the front-end of the pilot plant.

The company is also ramping up exploration activity across its Browns Range tenement package with a budget of $4.5-$5 million for greenfields exploration.
