Through its 90% owned subsidiary Tiebaya Gold Sarl, the company applied for a gold mining licence within the Abujar Middle Tenement, part of the Abujar Project.
Following an early-stage government review, Tietto has met prerequisites for the mining licence and the application has been accepted.

Tietto appointed Ivorian environment specialist EnviTec to undertake an environmental and social impact study in April 2020.
Field baseline survey studies have been completed and the company is reviewing these reports.
Tietto expects the following to occur in the coming weeks:
- A general meeting to take place in mid to late July between government and local communities to promote the Abujar Gold Project for mine development; and
- A public opinion poll on environmental study to take place in August.
Diamond drilling on track for September resource update
Tietto’s 50,000 metre drilling program is continuing in aim to increase the resource inventory of existing deposits as well as to identify new prospects within the Abujar Project’s 70-kilometre long gold corridor, where 90% of strike length remains to be tested.
The company’s own drill rig is delivering high production rates at some of the lowest exploration costs in the gold sector, ensuring a steady flow of drill results which will be incorporated into a resource updated scheduled for September.
Tietto is also advancing project studies necessary for the delivery of a pre-feasibility study in Q1 2021 and will report on progress as results become available.
