B&M European Value Retail SA (LON:BME) said it plans to open 33 new stores and at least another 15 under the Heron Foods brand in the year to next March.
The convenience retailer said the store opening programme was hit by pandemic during the current quarter, so it will be weighted towards the second half of the year.

In the quarter to June 27, group revenue climbed 28% to £1.1bn with good performance especially in the UK, where like-for-like (LFL) sales jumped 27% on last year.
The UK business remained open throughout lockdown, while in France stores were closed for eight weeks.
“It is an absolutely stellar performance and whilst management is flagging that there will now be some gaps on the shelves for a few weeks, we do not expect LFL just to collapse back to normal levels,” analysts at Peel Hunt said.
Shares advanced 3% to 411.2p on Wednesday at the opening bell.
