Warpaint London warns on revenues as coronavirus disruption takes toll

Some of the makeup seller's retail customers are cancelling or deferring orders due to shop closures

Warpaint London PLC (LON:W7L) warned on revenues for the current year and said retail customers are cancelling or deferring orders due to shop closures.

The make-up group said it continues to supply retailers that are still open as well as operating an online platform for individual customers.

Financial resources are sufficient to survive disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic until “at least” the end of 2020 without having to raise extra cash, it added.

The owner of the W7 and Technic make-up brands said it will not recommend a final dividend for the year to 31 December.

As of Wednesday, the AIM-listed firm had £3.3mln in cash and £500,000 of debt.

Currently, 84 of 115 UK staff have been furloughed, while those who have remained are working on the Christmas order book.

Shares dropped 3% to 46p on Thursday at the opening bell.
