Legend Mining Ltd (ASX:LEG) has discovered a new electromagnetic conductor to drill test at its Mawson Prospect within the Rockford Project in the Fraser Range of Western Australia.
A downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) survey of the RKDD007 diamond hole revealed a strong offhole conductor is interpreted to be a down-dip extension of the RKDD007’s conductor.
As previously reported, diamond hole RKDD007 intersected 70.15 metres at 0.52% nickel, 0.36% copper and 0.03% cobalt from 88.2 metres depth.
300-metre diamond hole to test conductor
Legend’s managing director Mr Mark Wilson said: “The diamond drillhole to test this offhole conductor at Mawson will be the first hole drilled in the upcoming March drill programme.
“The modelled strength and location with respect to the known mineralisation in hole 007 makes this a compelling target.
“Meanwhile the development of the 3D model of Mawson is ongoing with further diamond drill targets to be determined in due course.”
Additional targets expected to be generated
The 3D modelling of Mawson integrating drilling, geological, geochemical and geophysical datasets is continuing.
It is envisaged that further diamond drillhole targets will be generated from this work.
