Kalamazoo Resources Ltd (ASX:KZR) has started a stage-I diamond drilling campaign at the Castlemaine Gold Project in the prolific Central Victorian Goldfields, which are experiencing a revival of interest and activity.
Drilling is being undertaken in the northern area of EL6679 where Kalamazoo has identified numerous hig- priority targets
The program is designed to expand on recent ground geophysical surveys and 3D structural geology modelling carried out by Kalamazoo that aligns with encouraging historical exploration data.

The program forms the first part of a recently announced 10,000-metre drilling campaign at Castlemaine, which will be undertaken in two stages.
Drilling will focus on prioritised high-grade gold exploration targets defined within the private Pine Plantation area in EL6679, which has already recorded several high-grade intersections in historical drill holes.
It is anticipated that this initial program will take about three months to complete and the results will be used to further refine Kalamazoo’s high-grade gold model and priority targets.
The program will also provide critical input into future planned geophysical surveys as well as a stage II drilling program in early 2020.
