Australian Mines strengthening Board through appointment of experienced engineer Les Guthrie

The company is an advanced battery materials developer that is seeking to extend the high-grade cobalt mineralised zone at the Flemington project in NSW.

Australian Mines Limited (ASX:AUZ) (FRA:MJH) (OTCMKTS:AMSLF) is strengthening its Board through the appointment of experienced company director Lee (Les) Guthrie as non-executive director starting from late November 2019.

Guthrie is a qualified engineer with more than 40 years’ experience of project delivery across the mining, infrastructure and energy sectors.

He is principal and managing director of Bedford Road Associates, an independent consultancy providing professional advice and support for the development and delivery of major capital expenditure programs.

His senior leadership roles have spanned a variety of global resources companies in Australia, UK, North America and Asia, including with BHP Billiton, BG Group, Aker Kvaener Inc and Brown & Root.

AUZ chairman Michael Ramsden said: “I am delighted to welcome Les to the Australian Mines board of directors and look forward to him becoming a valued member of our team.

“Les will bring significant additional skills and experience to the board around major project delivery, which will complement those of our existing directors.
