Gold was drilled in five of seven holes at Tiger Moth and 11 out of 12 holes at Vanguard.
Highlights include 11 metres at 3.7 g/t gold from 52 metres at Tiger Moth and 14 metres at 1.1 g/t from 173 metres at Vanguard.
Notably, gold intersected at both Tiger Moth and Vanguard has confirmed depth extensions to the known gold mineralisation at these prospects.
Drilling is targeting extensions to the 290,000-ounce gold JORC resource grading 1.7 g/t gold.
Tiger Moth is located within the Indomitable Camp
Results support JORC resource growth
Alto’s chairman Terry Wheeler said: “These latest high grade gold results from drilling at Tiger Moth and Vanguard demonstrate the continuity of mineralisation at depth and significant likelihood for further resource growth at these prospects.
“Overall, the drilling results to date continue to highlight the significant potential that we see at the Sandstone Gold Project.
Further 3,700 metres of drilling planned
“Follow up drilling and exploration work is currently planned at a number of historical high grade pits including Lord Nelson and along the Southern Extension Corridor, where drilling recently demonstrated mineralization remains open along strike and down plunge.”
Alto considers the drilling to date at Vanguard and Indomitable Camps, and Lord Nelson has demonstrated the potential to significantly grow the existing resources at each of these prospects.
Alto’s 290,000-ounce JORC resource grading 1.7 g/t gold is shared across four deposit areas – Lord Henry, Lord Nelson, Indomitable & Vanguard Camp, and Havilah & Ladybird.
