Tempus’s non-executive chairman Alex Molyneux said: “Brendan has a great mix of geological and commercial capabilities and he has the ability to move quickly where opportunities arise.
“I’m very pleased he has accepted the position of managing director because the Tempus’ projects, particularly Blackdome-Elizabeth, have real potential with a ‘fast-track’ approach and I believe Brendan will drive outcomes with that.”
The newly appointed Borg added: “I am pleased to be committing full time to the company as we accelerate evaluation of our high-grade development gold project in Canada and our highly prospective gold exploration projects in Ecuador.
“I look forward to continuing to work with our team to unlock the significant potential we see in both projects, against the backdrop of an increasingly strong gold price.”
Borg recently purchased 200,000 shares priced at 19 cents to increase his overall holdings to 1.9 million shares, which represents a 5.21% stake.
