Full interview: Lithium Australia leading with innovation in lithium recycling from spent batteries

Lithium Australia NL (ASX:LIT) managing director Adrian Griffin updates Proactive Investors on the company's milestone innovation in recycling lithium from old used batteries.

Griffin says the process of producing lithium-ferro-phosphate (LFP) cathode powder from the recycled lithium is being successfully undertaken by Lithium Australia, and is a major breakthrough for lithium and batteries as well as enhancing environment sustainability.

A major recycling challenge is to reduce batteries ending up in landfill and LIT's breakthrough paves the way for the re-birthing of cathode materials.
