The plan is to create additional clean room space, which will be up and running by the middle of next year

Tissue Regenix Group PLC (LON:TRX) has secured additional manufacturing space next to its facility at San Antonio, Texas, which will allow it to expand capacity.

It will do so in phases after signing a 10-year lease on the new building, which, at 21,000 square-foot, is around 50% larger than its current site.

The first stage, which will begin immediately, involves creating office, distribution and warehouse space.

This will allow for additional clean rooms to be built at the original site, which are expected to be operational by the end of the first half of next year.

“The group has undertaken a number of operational initiatives in order to increase production capabilities and meet the growing market demand for our products,” said Gareth Jones, Tissue Regenix’s interim chief executive.

“Having commenced a second shift at the beginning of the year in our current facility in San Antonio, the phased build out of this new facility will allow us to meet the growing requirements of our customers well into the future."
