SolGold (LON:SOLG) is still looking for partners for its projects in Queensland and the Solomon Islands, though almost of all efforts are now focused on the Cascabel project in Ecuador.
In its latest half year, SolGold received results from three more holes on the Alpala target at Cascabel and started drilling its tenth hole at the property.
SolGold has estimated Alpala, which is one of a number of possible deposits at Cascabel, as an area with a conceptual target size of at least 80 Mt at a 2.5% copper grade and significant gold credits.
The ninth hole returned the best intersections to date, with two high grade zones and an extension to the discoveries in hole number five.
SolGold also completed a geophysical survey of another target at Cascabel, Aguinaga, and carried out extensive soil sampling over the whole licence, with results pending.
Elsewhere, in Queensland, although there was interest no joint venture agreements were signed.
SolGold said it still wants to find a partner to commit funds and carry out the exploration to earn an interest in the tenements at Perry, Rannes and Normanby.
At Kuma, in the Solomons, soil and rock sampling programs are being interpreted to determine the next steps to be taken for the project.
SolGold posted a loss of A$1.4mln ( A$782,000) in the half year to December and had cash and equivalents of A$1.07mln at the period end.
