Ferrexpo PLC (LSE: FXPO) issued a production report for April 2009, saying it continues to produce at full capacity.
Production of iron ore rose 4.3 percent from March to 2.45 million tonnes from 2.35 million, and was up 2.2 percent from 2.4 million tonnes produced in April 2008.
Pellet production in April 2009 totaled 745,100 tonnes, down 3.5 percent from the March output of 772,300 tonnes and 4.3 percent lower year-on-year from 778,800 tonnes.
The proportion of 62 percent iron pellets produced has been increased slightly on a temporary basis to balance stocks. It was18.3 percent higher than its March level, while the production of 65 percent iron pellets in April was down 20.7 percent from March.
