Ormonde Mining: Latest drill results from Barruecopardo show continuity of mineralisation

Ormonde Mining (LON:ORM) today revealed more results from infill drilling at its flagship Barruecopardo tungsten project in Spain.

The results from three, of twenty holes drilled, show the overall continuity of the mineralisation at Barruecopardo, Ormonde said.

The first hole – in today’s batch of results – had 4 metres grading 0.94 percent tungsten oxide (WO3). Another had 3 metres grading 3.79 percent WO3 and 11 metres grading 1.32 percent WO3. The third hole had 2 metres grading 3.82 percent and 2 metres grading 1.03 percent.

"These results further enable the continuity of the mineralisation on the southern end of the deposit to be better established which will allow this part of the deposit to be included in the final mine plan,” said managing director Kerr Anderson.

Ormonde said that current drilling is now focused on sterilisation holes on the proposed plant and waste dump sites.

The assays for the remaining holes drilled during the twenty hole programme are expected to be released every four to five weeks over the summer. The results will be incorporated in a final mineral resource and a revised open pit design.

Last week Ormonde took full control of Barruecopardo after it acquired the 10 percent interest held by its former joint venture (JV) partner SIEMCALSA.
