Arian Silver installs laboratory at San Jose silver project; concentrate grades increase

Arian Silver (LON:AGQ, CVE:AGQ) announced that a laboratory has now been installed at its San Jose silver project in Mexico, which will help speed up exploration sample analysis.

The company also reported that the concentrate grade at San Jose has recently increased. About 200 tonnes of silver concentrate have been produced to date at a concentrate grade of well over 500 ounces of silver per tonne. Arian said that the improvement in grade is a result of recent mill improvements.

The company is currently undertaking additional mine development work to allow access to more mining areas.

The laboratory comprises a comprehensive sample preparation facility, a fire assay laboratory and a wet-chemistry laboratory with atomic absorption spectrometry. Arian’s wholly owned laboratory will be under the sole control and operational management of personnel from the Stewart Group.

“We are pleased to report further progressive news with the installation and commissioning, on-site at San Jose, of our fully equipped semi-mobile laboratory. Our laboratory, which will be independently managed by personnel from the Stewart Group, will significantly speed up the analysis of our exploration samples,” said chief executive of Arian Silver Jim Williams.

Earlier this month, Arian silver appointed Samuel Clarke as its new chief financial officer.
