The app provides various medical-related information to CHMF’s 116 member cooperatives and more than 41,000 members across the Philippines, with access to an established network of 447 hospitals and clinics.
The second phase of the CHMF mobile app plans to include functionality for a mobile wallet, QR code payments, member to member (M2M) payments and other transactional capabilities.
Peppermint managing director & CEO Chris Kain said: “CHMF is a market leader in the Philippines due to its very aggressive technology-driven strategy.
“Peppermint’s vision is to support CHMF as a premier technology-based organisation that allows cashless utilisation of member insurance accounts through its national network.
“We look forward to developing the next phase of the mobile app for CHMF and to continuing our focus in the cooperative sector throughout the Philippines.
“The cooperative sector provides us with access to members right throughout regional and rural areas of the Philippines and is another important building block to help us deliver financial inclusion to the people of the Philippines.”
CHMF president & CEO Roy Miclat added: “The Peppermint-developed mobile app has been well received by CHMF members.
“It is definitively an industry disruptor, a game changer.
“The next step is to prepare to meet the challenges of such changes.”
