Avation delivers fifth Airbus A220-300 to Latvian carrier airBaltic

Avation PLC (LON:AVAP) has acquired and leased its fifth Airbus A220-300 aircraft to Latvian carrier airBaltic.

The commercial aircraft leasing firm said the lease for the aircraft was for 12 years and had started on 26 April.

Jeff Chatfield, Avation’s executive chairman, said the new aircraft had grown the company’s overall fleet to 44 planes with another 12 on order out to 2022.

"We are pleased to take delivery of our fifth of these latest technology aircraft for our customer airBaltic”.

It is the second A220-300 the company has delivered to airBaltic this month, having leased another aircraft to the carrier on 1 April.
