DM Plc, the direct marketing group specialising in customer recruitment and
database management, announced the conclusions of a strategic review that looked into the best way to maximise shareholder value today.
In the review, DM plc stated that it felt it would best serve the company’s shareholders by returning £5.08 million in surplus cash on its balance sheet though a one off interim dividend of 3.5 pence.
The dividend will be paid on 25 November 2008 to shareholders who are on the register on 24 October 2008.
“DM has now firmly established itself as the UK market leader in its two core market sectors of response based customer recruitment and
direct mail. Based on past experience in recessionary periods and the positive response trends in the first half of this year, the Board believe that the Group will continue to perform robustly during any economic slowdown,” the company said.
Shares in DM jumped 18.75% to 9.5 pence.
