Browning will replace David Galan, who is stepping down from the role after nine months and three years in the company.
The TV and content producer said Browning would work alongside Galan to ensure an orderly transition.
Browning joins from television producer ITN Productions, where he was group managing director for eight years since 2010.

We consider Mark to be one of the industry's leading operators who has a proven track record of achieving significant growth in revenues and profitability in the factual TV genre, and we believe will be a perfect strategic fit to cement and grow Zinc Media's ambitions in the UK and international TV markets," Zinc’s chairman Peter Bertram said in a statement.
Shares in Zinc Media were up 1.6% up at 0.38p in mid-afternoon trade.
