Vmoto Ltd’s (ASX:VMT) electric-powered two-wheel vehicles proved a major drawcard among the crowd of more than 500,000 at EICMA 2018 in Milan, Italy, earlier this month.
A large range of Vmoto distributed B2C ‘green’ electric scooters and electric motorcycles were showcased at Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo and Motociclo (EICMA), one of the world’s largest two-wheel vehicle exhibitions.

Of particular interest were the Super Soco CUX electric scooter and the TC-Max electric motorcycle model which were both launched at EICMA aimed at B2C markets.
The 76th year of the annual trade show drew more than 1,050 exhibitors from 34 countries and drew crowds of more than half a million.
Vmoto’s launch attracted plenty of interest from the large contingent of media present along with a big crowd of show visitors.
‘Influencers’ help boost interest
This was boosted by the presence of two significant ‘influencers’ invited to the stand by Vmoto and its Italian partner.
They were Dario Marchetti, a legendary Ducati motorcycle racer, and Andrea Pirillo, a YouTube star who has gained more than 55 million views for his YouTube channel.
This duo promoted and endorsed Vmoto and its Super Soco brand of electric powered two-wheel vehicles.
Designed for urban riders
CUX is designed for urban riders, weighing just 70 kilograms, including the battery, with a maximum speed of 45 kilometres per hour and allowing for a range of up to 75 kilometres with one battery pack.
The TC-Max looks like an authentic 125cc motorcycle but with the added advantages that come with electric power.
Its lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 72V45Ah and the motor has 3000W of power, with a peak at 5000W, reaches a top speed while running of 100 kilometres per hour and is able to face up to a 17% slope.

Vmoto is confident that EICMA 2018 will add to the growing European interest in its electric-powered two-wheel vehicles.
This is in line with the company’s strategy of expanding interest in its two-wheel vehicles in Europe and throughout the world, enhanced by existing and new distribution agreements.
Compliance testing completed
After some delays in European homologation for the new Super Soco CU-X model, Vmoto advises that the compliance testing has now been completed.
The company expects that formal approval will be received for the CU-X model from Eu Whole-Vehicle Type-Approval authority of European Economic Community (EEC) by the end of this month.
As a result of the delay, the company has adjusted its unaudited earnings guidance for FY2018.

The company remains confident that these delays will create a timing issue only and any forecasted CU-X units not shipped to Europe by the end of FY2018 will be shipped and invoiced early in the subsequent quarter.
