The Namibian Tantalite project

Kazera Global PLC (LON:KZG) has now drilled and assayed 360 cores with further cores and channel sampling sent for assay at the Namibia Tantalite mine in Namibia.

Based upon results to date, the company is drilling further boreholes in order to test the tantalum and lithium bearing pegmatites at locations it’s termed Homestead and Purple Haze.

On completion of the drilling programme at Homestead and Purple Haze, drilling will move to targets Signaalberg and White City.

At Homestead, two tantalum interceptions were made, including one intercept of four metres of tantalite-rich material with a grade of 3,515.35 parts per million Ta2O5.

Visible spodumene and lepidolite mineralisation has been observed inside the mine.

The results from the Purple Haze pegmatite also indicated encouraging lithium mineralisation. Grades of 3.01 % and 3.59% Li2O have been intercepted.

The highest grade tantalum intercepts were also observed in the same lithium-rich intercepts. The mineralisation at Purple Haze indicates the potential for a primary lithium product and secondary tantalum product.

It’s expected that a resource update will be ready by the end of the first quarter of next year.

"The drilling programme continues in line with expectations and these initial results are highly encouraging with the mineralisation demonstrating that we have the potential for the mine to produce commercially two products, lithium and tantalum,” said chief executive Larry Johnson.

Further drilling will provide important clarity to the life of mine and inherent values in the entire area. We expect to have the initial ore resource report in the first quarter of 2019 on Homestead and Purple Haze, after which we can start to formulate the highest value mine plan for the total area."
