Australian Vanadium nearing completion of base case model for PFS

Australian Vanadium Ltd (ASX:AVL) continues to advance a pre-feasibility study (PFS) for its Gabanintha Vanadium Project near Meekatharra in Western Australia.

The company is well advanced in preparation of its initial base case scenario for the Gabanintha PFS.

This is the first step in a series of activities that will enable the delivery of a realistic and achievable study, supporting future investment decisions.

Drill program to commence in August

AVL plans to commence a geotechnical and resource development drill program in this month to resolve key parameters required for successful and safe long-term open pit design.

Drilling will collect geotechnical data to optimise pit slope angles amongst other things such as defining mineralisation boundaries.

The program will also target the conversion of resources from the Inferred category to the Indicated resource category and increase the understanding of the cobalt and base metal resource.
