With some high grade near surface one meter gold hits including; 10g/t, 8.8g/t and 4.5g/t, within an interval of; 16 meters at 2g/t gold from 44 meters, the Silver Swan Group (ASX: SWN) is building on its planned multi-commodity exploration strategy.
The results are from reverse circulation drilling at the Bourkes Find project, located 15 kilometres south-east of Meekatharra, in the highly prospective Murchison Greenstone Belt, and includes five mining licenses covering 39 kilometres square.
Best results from the Koladbro prospect included; 5 metres at 1.7g/t gold from 21 metres, including 2 metres at 3.3g/t gold.
Geology over the area includes strongly magnetic banded-iron formation, mafic volcanics, ultramafic rocks and amphibolites.
Gold anomalies at four prospects in the Bourkes Find tenements are linked structurally and stratigraphically.
Gold mineralisation is defined as a north-south corridor that bifurcates at Bourkes Reward South prospect into a western arm on which Bourkes Reward is located, and an eastern arm on which Bourkes Reward East and Golden Bracelet prospects are located.
Silver Swan is currently designing and preparing for follow-up drilling at Bourkes Reward east.
Earlier in the month the company announced significant sulphide mineralisation was intersected in initial exploratory reverse circulation drilling within the nearby Quinns Project area, located 55 kilometres south of Meekatharra covering an area of 84 kilometres square.
At Quinns, a new area, called Tasman, intersected initial results as high as; 4.65% zinc within an interval of; 6 metres at 3% zinc, including 4 metres at 3.8% zinc, 5 metres at 0.4% copper, 6 metres at 0.18g/t gold and 8 metres at 6g/t silver.
Of significant importance, this new discovery is several kilometres from the company's Austin VMS deposit, which in October had diamond drilling intersections including; 12% copper, 9% zinc, 5.9 g/t gold and 63 g/t silver.
