Renegade Exploration Ltd (ASX:RNX) is focused on finding another major gold project in the elephant country that is the Yandal Greenstone Belt near Wiluna in Western Australia’s North Eastern Goldfields.
As Renegade prepares to begin drilling at the Yandal East project this quarter, it is also leveraged to the activity of other explorers active in this proven world-class belt.
The Yandal Greenstone Belt has seen past production exceeding 15 million ounces while Northern Star Resources Ltd’s (ASX:NSR) 10 million ounce plus Jundee Gold Project has been producing since 1995.
25,000-metre drilling program
Renegade has identified nine high-priority targets within the Yandal East project covering about 32 kilometres of strike length.
The company will begin a 25,000-metre drilling program at the project later this quarter.
It has also recently executed an agreement to acquire an exploration licence covering the western edge of the greenstone belt.
This consolidates and complements the company’s extensive existing holdings, and creates a continuous tenement holding to the south from Cowza prospect.
Alloy Resources about to drill
Neighbour Alloy intends to complete about 1,500 metres of reverse circulation drilling at two key prospects – Warmblood and Dusk til Dawn.
Field crews will begin work on Monday, May 14, while two teams will be on site later next week to begin the drilling along with regional and infill soil sampling programs.
Alloy is also planning extensive new soil sampling in the Celia Shear area adjacent to Renegade’s Coralie Jean high-grade quartz discovery.
Draig Resources extends land holding
Draig has secured new target areas - North Jundee, South Yandal and Fisher West – in proximity to its core asset, the high-grade Bellevue Gold Project.
The additional ground is prospective for gold and base metals and Draig is undertaking targeting with the aim of testing later this year.
Drilling is ongoing at Tribune high-grade discovery at Bellevue with a maiden resource estimate expected in the September quarter of 2018.
