Equiniti says 2018 has started well

Trading in 2018 has started well for Equiniti Group PLC (LON:EQN), the company was set to tell shareholders at the annual general meeting today.

The share registrar company said it has retained high profile clients such as DMGT, First Group, Gresham, QinetiQ and Unilever, while there have also been encouraging new clients wins this year, such as Bodycote, Hiscox, Low & Bonar, Rentokil and the Surrey & Sussex Police.

The group said that around four-fifths of newly listed companies in the UK this year have signed up to take the company’s services.

As for the acquisition of the Wells Fargo share-owner services business in February, the integration programme is on track and the migration of former Wells Fargo clients to the Equniti platform is set to start in the third quarter of this year.

Expectations for the company’s 2018 performance remain unchanged.
