Bod Australia Ltd’s (ASX: BDA) negotiation of a retail distribution agreement with Australian Pharmaceuticals Industries (ASX:API) has resulted in a major share price rerating.

Bod is a developer and distributor of natural, evidence-based cosmetics, natural medicines and health products.

API is one of Australia’s largest wholesalers, distributing to more than 2,000 pharmacies across its network which includes some of the best-known pharmacy chains in Australia.

Pharmacy chains under the API banner include Priceline, Chemsave and Pharmacy 4 Less.

Bod and API to work collaboratively in marketing products

Bod will work in conjunction with API to ensure that its products are aggressively promoted through its retail network.

API’s pharmacies will stock Bod’s entire range of natural medicines products, including new product Enterofytol this month, followed by SediStress in July.

The company’s natural medicines portfolio, which now includes Pinpoint, Flexofytol, Enterofytol and SediStress, will be fully accessible at all API pharmacies.

Collaboration brings logistical advantages

This development will also assist in terms of lowering broader distribution costs as it will result in the use of centralised delivery points and a stricter payment period.

Bod has also introduced a number of new product packaging sizes to sell through its established channels and wholesalers.

Management continues to assess other opportunities that could potentially strengthen its distribution network and discussions with additional wholesalers are progressing well.
