Velpic appoints globally experienced Justin Klintberg to board to assist in next growth phase

Klintberg was founder of Kima Capital, a Pan Asian hedge fund based in Hong Kong.

Velpic Ltd (ASX:VPC) has appointed Justin Klintberg to the board of directors following the resignations of Harry Karelis and Daniel Rohr.

Klintberg was previously a non-executive director and his knowledge of the company as well as his experience in the financial services industry will benefit Velpic.

A planned and strategic evolution

Chief executive officer Russell Francis said: “I’m very pleased to have someone of Justin’s calibre joining the board and supporting Velpic with its next growth phase.

“Justin has a strong track record in the financial services industry and his insights into high growth companies will be a valuable input.

"This is a planned and strategic evolution of our board and has the full support of all board members.”

Klintberg brings international experience

Klintberg has over 20 years of investment and capital markets experience and is managing director of corporate advisory firm, Merchant Advisory.

Previously, he was founder of Kima Capital, a Pan Asian hedge fund (2009-2016) based in Hong Kong.

Earlier in his career, Klintberg was a portfolio manager at a leading European-based funds manager, Marble Bar Asset Management.

This is important at a time when a key part of Velpic’s growth strategy is expanding into overseas markets, particularly since its alliance with NowForce.
