The reverse circulation drilling program is targeting graphite mineralisation at the Walcott and Mary Springs prospect areas.
Early results have intersected graphite mineralisation with confirmation expected when assays return from the lab.
Drilling will concentrate on priority geochemical and structural targets and high priority anomalies identified from the recently flown electromagnetic survey.
Bruce Richardson, managing director, commented:
"The mineralisation identified in the drill samples from the early holes of the reverse circulation drilling program look highly promising and that the company had already sent the first batch of samples to a Perth laboratory for assay."
Anson has a portfolio of three projects that provide exposure to a range of commodities and geographical locations.
- Ajana Project: graphite, zinc, lead, silver (Western Australia);
- ULI Subterranean Pressurised Lithium Brine Project: lithium (Utah, U.S.); and
- Hooley Wells Nickel-Cobalt Laterite Project: nickel, cobalt (Western Australia).
Ajana is located in Northampton of Western Australia, which is a proven and established mining province with a stable political environment.
The 112 square kilometre project contains extensive areas of graphitic schist mineralisation within a proterozoic gneissic geology.
This gneissic geological environment, typically hosts high grade graphite deposits in Western Australia and graphite deposits worldwide.
The area is also prospective for zinc, lead and silver.
