Strategic Natural Resources takes another step to production

Strategic Natural Resources (AIM:SNRP) climbed almost 2% after confirming that it had met a deadline to complete and submit a Mining Right Environmental Management Programme (EMP) to the South African Department of Minerals and Energy (DME).

David Nel, COO of Strategic Natural Resources said it was the most "arduous" part of the mining rights application.

A decision on the EMP is expected on the 10th September, 2008.

CEO, Jeremy Metcalfe, said: "This milestone confirms that SNR is well on track in the process of applying for coal Mining Rights to meet the growing coal and energy shortage in South Africa."
