Talga Resources graphite results amongst highest recorded globally

Significantly, the graphite grades reported are amongst the highest recorded globally.

Talga’s shares were last trading at $0.30, up 11.11% intraday.

The assay results, many at shallow depth, recorded zones grading over 40% graphitic carbon.

Highlight results include:
- 37.2 metres at 32.7% graphitic carbon from 34.8 metres including 10.7 metres at 42.5% graphitic carbon from 55.2 metres; and
- 21.9 metres at 30.7% graphitic carbon from 21.6 metres including 4.3 metres at 38.2% graphitic carbon from 34.3 metres.

These new results will be used to estimate an upgraded resource at Vittangi, expected to be completed in the coming quarter.

The project has an existing JORC 2012 resource of 9.8 million tonnes at 25.3% graphitic carbon, which is the highest resource grade amongst all the graphite deposits in the world.

The development of the deposits around the key Vittangi project is central to Talga’s growth strategy to supply high quality graphite into its material partnerships in Europe, UK and the U.S.

Talga is currently developing new high-tech graphite and graphene applications for major industry sectors through a growing base of these collaborative partnerships.

Follow-up exploration, including additional drilling, will be planned as part of a review of copper, cobalt and other metal mineralisation across Talga’s substantial exploration permits.

The company is planning to advance the graphite targets in conjunction with its Kiskama copper-cobalt-gold project in Sweden.
