ITM Power (LON:ITM)  has signed an agreement with car and van leasing group Arval to supply it hydrogen fuel.

The contract, at a price of £10/kg,  is for fuel dispensed across ITM's hydrogen refuelling network and follows the £35mln package of measures to boost the uptake of ultra-low emission cars unveiled by the government yesterday.

Arval was one of the recipients under the FCEV (fuel cell electric vehicles) Fleet Support Scheme.

Elliott Woodhead, SME & Partnerships Director at Arval, said: “Hydrogen has the potential to have a significant impact on our market and we need to be fully prepared for this.

“In signing this supply agreement with ITM Power we are pleased to be working with the leading innovator in the development of Hydrogen refuelling networks".

The list of fleet operators using hydrogen supplied by ITM has grown notably this year with Toyota, Commercial Group and Arcola all now customers.
