Central Asia Resources targets gold in latest diamond drilling in Kazakhstan

Central Asia Resources (ASX: CVR) will diamond drill test encouraging trenching results targeting gold in an eight hole, 860 metre campaign, at the Bizhe prospect in Kazakhstan.

Drilling will test the depth-potential of the identified mineralised zone in terms of grade, extent and continuity, and will take place along a suite of four sections with two holes being collared along each one.

Drill-hole depth will vary from 70 to 140 metres.

Bizhe is strategically located for Central Asia Resources, being just 20 kilometres from the company's Dalabai Project, which is under development to start production this year.

Bizhe is therefore being evaluated as potential feed for processing at Dalabai.

Preliminary testing of the leaching characteristics of Bizhe ore has indicated 90% gold recoveries over a 24-hour timeframe.

The mineralised zone defined by trenching extends over a strike length of around 350 metres and in places covers a surface zone of up to 100 metres in width - which remains open along strike.
