Brazilian Metals Group (ASX: BMG) recently transitioned its company focus to Cyprus from Brazil, with the company's maiden drilling program at the Treasure copper/gold project in Cyprus delivering.
So far 13 diamond drill holes have been completed in the program at the Laxia Prospect which is part of the Black Pine Project, with the first seven holes intersecting widespread sulphide mineralisation containing copper-gold-cobalt.
Assays from the first seven holes include:
- 4.25 metres at 2.53% copper from 30.75 metres;
- 4.18 metres at 1.72% copper, 1.18 g/t gold and 0.15 % cobalt from 33.1 metres; and
- 3.58 metres at 1.74% copper, 0.28 g/t gold and 0.05% cobalt from 112.9 metres.
There is now also further evidence that the copper sulphide mineralisation is magmatic related.
A revised exploration model for Black Pine Project area delivers an expanded exploration target area which now extends for over 50 kilometres within the company's licences.
The project areas of Black Pine, Kambia and Vrechia are within the Treasure Project.
