Anson Resources Ltd has first pass graphite results from WA project

Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN) formerly, Mayan Iron Corporation has received first pass rock chip sample results from its newly acquired Ajana Graphite Project near Geraldton in Western Australia.

These returned graphite up to 18.15% total graphitic carbon (TGC) from a widespread area within the tenement.

This confirms historic assays from local pits identified by the Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA)

The Ajana graphite project is adjacent to the North West Coast Highway, 130 kilometres north of Geraldton in Western Australia.

The prospective ground on the 97 square kilometres of tenement E66/89 contains extensive areas of graphite schist mineralization within a Proterozoic gneissic geology.

Proterozoic gneiss environment typically hosts high grade graphite deposits in Western Australia and other graphite deposits worldwide.
