Video app expert Forbidden Technologies (LON:FBT) has added a mobile entertainment specialist to its board to boost its commercial capacity.
Andrew Bentley, 53, is the former founder of Saffron Digital, a distributor of digital films and television to mobile devices.
Before it was sold in 2009 to HTC, its key clients included Vodafone (LON:VOD) and T-Mobile, as well as Disney, Universal, Warner, Sony and Channel 4.
He was also the chairman of the University of Bedfordshire, which, under his tenure, was awarded The Queen's Award for Enterprise and was returned to sustainable profitability.
It follows the appointment of Jim Irving, the former commercial director at deltatre Media, as a non-executive director earlier this month.
Forbidden has developed an internet video platform, Forscene, as well as its video editing technology Captivate and video social media app eva.
Stephen Streater, chairman of Forbidden, said: “Andrew's successes, his leadership experience and his network will provide an exceptional foundation.”
