RISERS

Zoopla Property Group (LON:ZPLA), up 9.8%. The property web site seems to be in a happier frame of mind that estate agency firm Foxtons (see below), after an upbeat trading update that revealed UK agency membership had returned to growth, having slipped when a new competitor entered the market.

Ladbrokes (LON:LAD), up 8.1%. The betting shop chain operator's turnaround strategy is showing signs of taking hold.

Debenhams (LON:DEB), up 4.0%. The presumption is that it was the full-year numbers that lifted the shares rather than the announcement of the impending departure of the CEO, Michael Sharp.

FALLERS

SIG (LON:SHI), down 23.4%. A profit warning sent the shares tumbling, after the improving sales trend in mainland Europe did not continue in the second half of the year.

Foxtons Group (LON:FOXT), down 7.9%. The estate agency group warned that some areas of its business – most notably central London - are taking time to recover, having been in a lull in the run-up to May's General Election.

Pearson (LON:PSON), down 4.9%. Yesterday's profit warning is still weighing on the shares today.

RISERS

Falcon Oil & Gas (LON:FOG) up 11.6%. Shares advanced after the company revealed a significant step forward with its shale gas project in Australia.

Europa Oil & Gas (LON:EOG) up 8.1%. The companies involved in the Wressle oil discovery are fast-tracking the development of the onshore field in Lincolnshire following the completion of an extended well test.

88 Energy (LON:88E) up 4.8%. The company revealed it had now received the final remaining permit for the upcoming Project Icewine well, onshore Alaska.

FALLERS

Lombard Risk Management (LON:LRM) down 13.3%. The company swung to a £1.8mln loss in its first half of it financial year from a pre-tax profit of £13,000 the year before, on higher admin costs.

Providence Resources (LON:PVR) down 10.7%. The Irish government is set to announce a 15% increase in the rate of tax on future oil and gas production, according to reports. Providence is working to attract a partner for the undeveloped Barryroe field.

Foxtons (LON:FOXT) down 5.8%. The London-focused estate agent warned the property market has been slow to recover after the general election, particularly in the capital.

RISERS

Sunrise Resources (LON:SRES) up 26%. The explorer has intersected high grades of silver in all of its first three drill holes at its Bay State silver project in Nevada.

Parallel Media Group (LON:PAA) up 21%. The company’s music division has secured the underwriting for concerts by an unnamed US popstar in Japan on December 8 and 9.

Servoca (LON:SVCA) up 20%. The specialist recruiter said results for the year to September 30 will be “significantly ahead of market expectations”.

FALLERS

Cambian Group (LON:CMBN) down 43.8%. Underlying EBITDA for the year to 31 December 2015 will be not less than £54mln while adjusted EBITDA will be not less than £49mln. This is lower than expected due to increased investment, the company said.

SIG (LON:SHI) down 22.6%. The company issued a profit warning, stating its underlying pre-tax profit will be between £85mln and £90mln, having previously expected it to be around £110mln.

Travis Perkins (LON:TPK) down 7.3%. The Wickes owner said it continues to outperform the market, but the slowdown in housing transactions has meant demand has been weaker than expected so far this year.
