Grey Matters raises $1.25M for Alzheimer’s clinics – ICYMI

Grey Matters Health (CSE:GREY, OTCQB:AGNPD, FRA:AGW0) earlier this week announced a financing of approximately $1.25 million, providing the company with additional resources to advance its strategy of building a network of Alzheimer’s-focused diagnostic clinics across Florida.

Speaking with Proactive, chief executive officer Christopher Moreau said investor response to the financing reflected growing interest in the company’s revised business model, which combines medical clinics, nuclear medicine and diagnostic imaging focused on Alzheimer’s disease.

Moreau said the company's first clinic is located at the HCA University Hospital medical offices in Davie, Florida, approximately 15 minutes south of Fort Lauderdale. He indicated that management is working toward opening the facility within the next 90 days and beginning to accept patients.

According to Moreau, the financing provides Grey Matters Health (CSE:GREY, OTCQB:AGNPD) with the resources required to complete the launch of the first clinic, strengthen physician outreach efforts and build awareness within the local community. He described the company as having a “full tank of gas” following the successful capital raise.

The company’s diagnostic offering is designed to help identify beta amyloid plaques in the brain using PET imaging technology, supporting earlier and more accurate identification of Alzheimer’s disease. Management believes growing awareness of Alzheimer’s and increasing demand for advanced diagnostic tools could create significant opportunities for expansion.

A notable potential catalyst discussed during the interview is the company’s involvement with clinical research organizations. Moreau said approximately 162 Alzheimer’s drug candidates are currently under development and noted that PET brain scans are often required to confirm patient eligibility for clinical trials.

Grey Matters Health is negotiating a potential agreement involving 200 PET scans that could support a future location in Tampa. While the company remains focused on opening its first clinic, Moreau indicated that management is already evaluating second and third locations as part of a broader Florida expansion strategy.

Additional support for growth comes through partnerships with Catalyst MedTech, Alliance Marketing and GE HealthCare, which management believes will assist operational execution and market development.

Looking ahead, investors may focus on several key milestones, including the opening of the Davie clinic, progress on the Tampa opportunity, the conversion of physician referral relationships and the company's ability to establish additional locations throughout Florida.

Moreau emphasized the scale of the long-term opportunity, stating: “We're not opening one clinic. I want to open up a few hundred. You have to start with one. But the vision is big.”
