Investors back European Green Transition growth plans as it raises £7.5m

European Green Transition PLC (AIM:EGT) is seeking to raise about £7.5 million at 6p a share, enlarging a planned funding round after investor demand, as the AIM-listed group moves to bed in its newly acquired wind turbine services business in the UK and Ireland.

The proposed placing and subscription come at a 7.7% discount to the 10 March closing price of 6.5p, and, the raise includes the conversion of £1.5 million of bridge financing into equity, with another £1.5 million of short-term facilities to be repaid from the net proceeds.

EGT said the new arrangements will strengthen the enlarged group’s balance sheet, support growth in the acquired O&M platform and help fund selective bolt-on acquisitions across critical infrastructure services.

The firm agreed to buy the business last month from the liquidators of Arena Capital Partners, positioning it as a revenue-generating foothold in wind turbine operations, maintenance, repair and remote monitoring.

The acquired platform generated roughly £14.7 million of revenue and £0.9 million of adjusted EBITDA in 2025, EGT highlighted, and it operates more than 900 turbines with a workforce of about 78.

EGT noted that the business has heads of terms signed with around 50 clients for repowering projects, giving visibility over a possible £19 million pipeline, with additional qualified prospects identified.

Shareholders are due to vote on the fundraise at a general meeting on 30 March, with admission of the new shares expected on 31 March.
